Paper Mache
Here is how to do a technique called Paper Mache. You will need:
- Newspaper
- Glue
- Water
- A flat surface you can get messy
- Paint
- Other matireals, based on what you want to make.
First, you must construct your base. To do this you can use items lying around your house like toilet paper rolls, cardboard, tape, paper, plastic cups, etc. You can make anything you want, from apples to zebras. My first time I made a pencil. Once you have your base ready to go, you mix up the glue and water. Then you rip the newspaper into stripps and dip it in the mixture. Take the strip of paper and stick it onto the base. Keep doing this until it is nicely covered. Let it dry, then do another coat. After you feel it is fully covered, paint the piece however you want.
